After a few months ‘playing away’, we’re back at the Wheaty on the new date of Wednesday, April 22 — Take note – it’s the FOURTH Wednesday of April rather than the usual, 3rd.
The topic of discussion will be Brewing for competition success: Learn how judges use BJCP scoring when judging, how to use the style guidelines to brew winning beers and how to get them there as amazing as they do at home. Get tips from certified judges and champion brewers on the best strategies to get your beers on the podium!
We’re keen to have some beer tastings from members too. Please send an email if you have a beer to bring along and share. Remember, Brewer of the Year points are earned!
SABC Annual BeerBQ
If you’re an old hand, you’ll know it’s free; everyone brings homebrew, we provide the food, and it’s a great night.

if you’re newer or haven’t made it before, here’s the short version: it’s our yearly SABC get-together. We fire up the spit for delicious BBQ, kegs of homebrew are shared, friends and family are welcome and we all enjoy an evening of good company, food, and homebrew.
Everyone’s welcome—whether you’ve been brewing for years or you’ve just started thinking about your first batch.
